About this figure

Sentinel presents Norimaki Gajira, better known as Gatchan, from Akira Toriyama's classic manga and anime series Dr. Slump. This figure captures the beloved cherub-like creature in detailed form. Gatchan is one of the main characters of Dr. Slump, hatched from an egg that Senbei Norimaki brought back from prehistoric times. The creature was adopted into the Norimaki family and named by Arale Norimaki herself, with the name combining Gamera and Gojira (Godzilla) out of Arale's love for monsters. Gatchan is a green-haired, winged creature with two antennae that can shoot rays, and has an enormous appetite — eating almost anything, particularly metal, though not rubber. Gatchan speaks in a gibberish language called Gatchanism that somehow Arale understands, and the two share a playful, innocent bond, with Gatchan following Arale nearly everywhere. Later in the series, Gatchan splits into identical twins known as Gatchan #1 and Gatchan #2. The figure stands approximately 70mm tall and is made from ABS and ATBC-PVC materials.
