In this storyline, Sakura Matou becomes infected with Angra Mainyu through a shard placed in her body by her adoptive grandfather Zouken, transforming into Dark Sakura. The corrupted Saber Alter becomes a formidable adversary, and Shirou teams up with Rider to eliminate her in their quest to save Sakura and free her from her contract with Angra Mainyu.
