Good Smile Company presents Hyakkimaru from the 2019 anime adaptation of Dororo as part of their Nendoroid line, numbered 1144. Dororo is a dark fantasy series originally created by manga legend Osamu Tezuka, following the story of Hyakkimaru, a samurai whose father sacrificed 48 of his body parts to demons in exchange for power. Born without limbs, eyes, ears, or skin, Hyakkimaru was abandoned but survived thanks to a doctor who equipped him with prosthetic body parts. Throughout his journey, Hyakkimaru slays the demons one by one, gradually regaining his stolen body parts and senses. He is accompanied by Dororo, an orphan thief who becomes his loyal companion. The 2019 anime adaptation by MAPPA and Tezuka Productions brought renewed attention to this classic tale, exploring themes of humanity, sacrifice, and what it means to truly live. This Nendoroid stands approximately 100mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. The figure was sculpted by Shichibee with cooperation from Nendoron, and includes a stand for display.
