About this figure

From the classic Studio Ghibli film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Banpresto and Unifive present the Ohmu in its Anger version. This figure depicts one of the most iconic creatures from Hayao Miyazaki's post-apocalyptic world. The Ohmu are massive, multi-eyed arthropods that inhabit the Toxic Jungle, a forest spreading across a devastated Earth. In their calm state, their eyes glow blue, but when angered or threatened, their eyes turn a vivid red — the form captured by this figure. The Ohmu play a pivotal role in the story, as Princess Nausicaä seeks to understand and communicate with these creatures rather than destroy them, believing coexistence is possible between humanity and the jungle's inhabitants. This collectible stands approximately 80mm tall and represents the Ohmu in its aggressive, red-eyed state, making it a distinctive piece for fans of the film's rich ecological themes and memorable creature designs.
