Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line takes on the Ghost of Sparta with Kratos from God of War (2018), numbered 925 in the series. This non-scale articulated figure stands approximately 100mm tall and brings the legendary PlayStation protagonist into chibi form. The 2018 God of War reboot reimagines Kratos as an older, more contemplative figure who has left behind the destruction of ancient Greece to settle in the Norse realm of Midgard. Following the death of his wife Faye, Kratos embarks on a journey with his young son Atreus to scatter her ashes from the highest peak in the Nine Realms. Along the way, he confronts Norse gods and monsters while struggling to control his rage and be a better father than he was a god of war. The game's emotional narrative explores themes of fatherhood, redemption, and the consequences of violence. Sculpted by Tokura of knead with cooperation from Nendoron, this ABS and PVC figure was released in October 2018 at a price of ¥4,584. It includes a stand and accessories that reference Kratos' iconic Leviathan Axe and his new life in Midgard.
