X-Plus presents Leatherback from Pacific Rim as part of their Daikaiju (Large Monster) Series. Standing approximately 250mm tall at the head and crafted from ABS, PVC, and soft vinyl materials, this figure captures the massive kaiju in impressive detail. Leatherback is one of the memorable kaiju from Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, a film where giant monsters emerge from an interdimensional breach to battle humanity's Jaeger mechs. This gorilla-like kaiju had excellent screen time, engaging in battles with Jaegers Cherno Alpha, Striker Eureka, and ultimately fighting Gipsy Danger in an epic confrontation. Leatherback's EMP ability made it particularly dangerous, capable of disabling Jaeger systems mid-battle. Released in July 2016, nearly three years after Pacific Rim hit theaters, this figure stands about 8.75 inches at the head and 9.75 inches at the shoulders, with a width of 12 inches elbow to elbow. The figure weighs approximately 935 grams. X-Plus produced only two Pacific Rim kaiju figures — Leatherback and Knifehead — making this a rare and sought-after collectible for kaiju fans.
