Good Smile Company released Saber Lion as Nendoroid 50, a chibi-style figure from the Fate/Tiger Colosseum spin-off game. This figure brings a playful, alternate take on the iconic Fate franchise character to the popular Nendoroid format. Saber Lion is a humorous variant of Artoria Pendragon (Saber) that appears in Fate/Tiger Colosseum, a comedic fighting game set in an alternate, lighthearted version of the Fate universe. In this form, Saber dons a lion hood costume, playing on the association between lions and kingship. The Fate series, originally a visual novel, revolves around the Holy Grail War where mages summon legendary heroes as Servants to battle for the wish-granting Grail. Saber is one of the franchise's most recognizable characters, typically portrayed as a noble and duty-bound knight king. The Nendoroid stands approximately 100 mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. It was sculpted by Nendoron with cooperation from Kawagoe Hiromitsu, and carries a retail price of 6,607 JPY.
