Pit-Road presents the Seed Ship Sidonia from the sci-fi series Knights of Sidonia (Shidonia no Kishi) as a 1/100000 scale model kit. This impressive collectible recreates the massive vessel that serves as the central setting of the entire series. Seed Ships were enormous vessels, measuring kilometers in length, built during the twilight years of humanity to carry colonists away from Earth after the Gauna invasion of the Solar System. Hundreds of Seed Ships were launched in different directions to ensure the survival of the human race. Each was designed for self-sustainability, allowing a crew and colony of hundreds of thousands to survive for decades or centuries between star systems. They were also equipped with self-defense systems including Mass Driver Cannons and sub-light propulsion capabilities, as faster-than-light travel had not yet been mastered. Sidonia is one of only two known Seed Ships, the other being Aposimz, which was so distant that its final message took over 150 years to reach Sidonia. The model stands approximately 350mm tall at 1/100000 scale, reflecting the colossal size of the original vessel.
