Kaiyodo's Mega Sofvi line presents Ultraman from the 2022 film Shin Ultraman in a Sample (Template) Version, standing an impressive 49.5cm tall. This large-format soft vinyl figure captures the redesigned Ultraman from director Shinji Higuchi and writer Hideaki Anno's modern reimagining of the classic tokusatsu hero. Shin Ultraman reinterprets the 1966 original series, following the giant alien hero as he merges with human Shinji Kaminaga to protect Earth from extraterrestrial threats. The film's Ultraman design streamlines the classic look while maintaining the iconic silver and red color scheme, and Kaiyodo's Mega Sofvi figure reproduces this in substantial detail. The figure comes packaged with a display base and is constructed from a combination of soft vinyl, PVC, polyurethane, iron, and magnet components. Released in November 2023, the Mega Sofvi Shin Ultraman Template Version retailed for 44,000 yen and was available through Kaiyodo and partner retailers such as Hobby Search, making it a premium centerpiece for Ultra Series collectors.
