Splatoon 2 is set in Inkopolis and later introduces the Octo Canyon campaign, where players battle as Inklings or Octolings in turf wars using ink-based weaponry. Octolings were originally enemies in the single-player campaign, soldiers of the Octarian underground who served under DJ Octavio.
