From the anime series Golden Kamuy, Good Smile Company presents a Nendoroid of the main character Saichi Sugimoto, also known as "Sugimoto the Immortal." This non-scale articulated figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is part of the popular Nendoroid line, product number 2178. Golden Kamuy follows Sugimoto, a veteran of the Russo-Japanese War who survives seemingly impossible odds, earning him his legendary nickname. He embarks on a dangerous quest across Hokkaido to find hidden Ainu gold, navigating alliances with Ainu girl Asirpa and facing off against dangerous convicts and military factions. The series blends historical fiction, survival, and cultural exploration of indigenous Ainu culture. The figure includes three face plates: a smiling face, a combat face, and an open mouth face. Optional parts feature a Type 30 Rifle, miso, and a squirrel brain accessory. Sculpted by Shichibee (Matsuda Model) with cooperation from Nendoron, the figure is made of painted plastic and includes a stand. It was released in November 2023 with a retail price of ¥6,600.
