Izuminokami Kanesada is the sword of the historical figure Hijikata Toshizo, the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi. As a Touken Danshi, he inherits the cool, composed demeanor associated with his former master, and his design reflects the Shinsengumi's iconic haori jacket.
