Kanon is a visual novel by Key that follows protagonist Yuichi Aizawa as he returns to a northern town after seven years and reconnects with several girls from his past. Ayu Tsukimiya is the main heroine, a cheerful girl who wears a winged backpack and loves eating taiyaki. Her trademark verbal tic "Uguu~" became one of the most recognizable catchphrases in anime culture.
