Digism, under the DIG brand from Gametora, brings Mihira Sanpei from the classic fishing manga and anime series Tsurikichi Sanpei (Fisherman Sanpei) to life as part of their Digsta figure line. This prepainted figure stands approximately 95mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC materials. Created by the late manga artist Takao Yaguchi, Tsurikichi Sanpei debuted in Weekly Magazine in 1973 and ran for a decade, spanning 67 compiled volumes with an anime adaptation in 1980. Yaguchi drew from his own fishing experiences to craft a story centered on Sanpei Mihira, a naive and lively boy influenced by his grandfather Ippei. Sanpei possesses an immense passion for fishing, exceptional skills, and a love for traveling to challenge himself against difficult catches. Released in December 2023, this figure is part of a set of four collectibles from the series. DIG utilizes unique digital printing technology to meticulously recreate fine details like fish scales, achieving remarkable realism. Each figure faithfully renders the characters' poses and features as they appear in the original work.
