Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line presents the Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex as figure number 023 in a Silver version. Standing approximately 130mm tall and made from ABS and PVC, this figure was sculpted by Ryuuichi of Peacemaker with cooperation from Nendoron. Tachikomas are the iconic spider-like think tanks used by Section 9, the public security unit led by Major Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Despite being military hardware, Tachikomas possess artificial intelligence that develops childlike curiosity and individual personalities throughout the series. Their philosophical discussions about consciousness, individuality, and the nature of the soul are a hallmark of the show, providing both comic relief and profound commentary. Their bond with Batou, who treats his Tachikoma with particular affection, is one of the series' most touching subplots.
